Looks crazy and IS crazy. How is it 2022 already?

1979 to 2000 is what 2000 is to 2021. Let that sink in…..

Oh well.. let’s not waste anymore time or it’ll be TWNTYTWNTY3

SPOILER ALERT

Without spoiling too much but I am currently in the back of a VAN, internet is precious, time and sunlight too, please excuse but there will only be a little amount of pictures today :)

Whooooot?

It all started two months ago… *swish twirl sounds like when someone remembers somethings sort of thing you know…. twririiriiillsssssPRAAAA*

It was a lovely coldish November afternoon when someone rolled up into my life…

May I present, the one and only Hyggiii

Hyggiii, aka Hygge (his original name, which is danish and means something along the lines of “the good in life”), aka Hygglett.

A friend to conquer the world with, well… northern Germany, then Europe to start with.

Hyggiii was (/slash) IS to this day… a bit of a project. A heartwarming, lovely one though. The next weeks were filled with working on, in, at and around H-dog.

Bare and raw to start with,.. hyggiii slowly developed into the beautiful butterfly he was always meant to be.

Long story short… THIS is Hyggiiii now :)

Ready to Rock & Rowdy.

Even though one might think, “teeeeej, he’s a handy lad…”

yeah… true, but the glory is not all mine… well, it is but I mean I had helping hands on deck haha

But before we continue with Hyggiiii and the ELEFANT in the room (what’s going on?!), let’s have a look at what happened in the meantime.

In the meantime.

We had Autumn. We had sun (not a lot). Then we had snow….

We had the beautiful pre Christmas time, then xmas came, with snow and ice. It was fantastic!

I even went out on the pond and played hockey again with my dad – ON CHRISTMAS. What a gift that was :) (My dad, one might think a VANveteran, his helping hands, guidance and tools helped a lot haha)

Time home was very special to me, it always is. Catching up with family and friends, there is just nothing like it, especially when you haven’t seen them for three years.

but.. as it always happens, Christmas comes and Christmas goes,.. the new year arrives, people continue, get back to their routine and life goes on and on. And so, for me,.. like a few times before, January means leaving again.

I will get back to the open road, but not alone. I’ll be accompanied by Kimi :), a beautiful soul, who shares a passion for laughing and adventures with me. (She also completes the trio of the van working childish vanbinos haha)

..

And so, on January the 3rd… we set sail.

Now, over a thousand kilometres later, I send words to you from Belgium (Nieuwpoort), right at the coast and maybe 30 minutes away from the French border.

The plan?

Follow the open road, down the west coast through Belgium, France, Spain and finally Portugal. There we will touch base with one of my best mates who’s been living there for a couple of years… I can’t wait to see him… it’s gonna be fun.

From there, it’s anybody’s guess really. Possibly some time in Portugal, some work and sunshine before the rest of Europe will be conquered by HygMania.

I will send pictures.

For now, the internet connection has won -.- At least I got a few pictures up. There is more to come!
