[Put yourself in my shoes for a second]
Salut tout le monde,
et bonjour to todays FRENCH CLASS…
Speed Update: We are in Lyon, it’s allez les bleus everywhere, arthur est un perroquet et le soleil brille.
Well,.. bonjour… I guess.
Some might wonder: Lyon? France? Pourquoi?
That my friends, is a good,.. a very good question.
I just grab my..,
and then I will..,
and in between I might..,
but mainly I shall..,
so you have,..
ADD THE MISSING WORDS: Story book, storytell, throw in french phrases, storytell, stories to tell.

It all began back on Sylt. You might remember my last blog entry about our moving to the famous german island in the middle of the north Sea. We planned to stay, live, work and enjoy ourselves over there for at least six month. Well,.. we lasted two. Haha
Honestly? The traveling-spirit caught us and we got itchy feet. So we did what we had to do. Leave. Travel. Explore. Follow the sun,.. as long le soleil brille.
During our time on the island we had a few days off we spent looking and fooling around of course. See for yourself.
Nordfriesland. Heimat. Home
With the “Sylt” chapter over and out our next stop was the main land, where we spent a few relaxing and battery charging days at my family home. With our backpacks ready, packed and attractive – we soon after left for the open road.
Next stop: Flensburg, Kiel, Gothenburg and Hambuuuuurch.
The following days and weeks we visited and stayed with my best friends Björn, Chris, Anne and Rouv in the beautiful north of Germany. During these days we also took a cruise ship, which took us from the harbor in Kiel all the way to Gothenburg, Sweden. Two nights on a big boat with ocean view and an exciting day in Göteburg later and here’s to twelve million new polaroids to look at. Stunnin’ sunset on the ocean inclusive. hasttag heart
Et il brille.
Adventuring at it’s best. Cool spots, cool trips, cool kids. Fun!
For our last stop we went to Hamburg – one of the biggest cities in Germany. Together with Rouv we toured around the HH-Harbor, enjoyed the quarter final Germany vs. Italy of the EURO in a decent german pub and explored after the game the nightlife of Hamburgs famous red light district. Whoop.
And what has all this to do with Lyon and France? Well,.. there might have happened some spontaneous actions after the quarter final win germanys over italy. (The very first win ever against Italy in a tournament by the way.)
Yes, I was very excited. Yes, I thought we take over the football world once again. Yes we booked our trip to France the day after. Yes, we didn’t win the Euro. Yes, it was still more than worth it. Yes, yes, yes.
But let’s not start talking about this years EURO in France,.. because it could get me started, hehe. What a tournament, though. Ok.. shhh… wusaaaaaaaa
Anyways, we took a rideshare from Hamburg to Lyon and met up with our french friends, Tiphanie and Thomas, we’ve met back in Queenstown, New Zealand. Eversince we arrived we just have the best time ever. The two are amazing hosts and showing us around a lot. We went to watch football in Lyons FanFest when Germany lost very tightly (AND LIKE.. WHY EVEN.. IT’S SO STUPID REALLY.. AND.. ACH…) .. against France. We went to a crazy and colorful houseparty with outdoor pool, explored around beautiful Lyon, we ate frogs and snails, we had too much wine and too much beer,.. oh and tomorrow of course is the France National day. Aehm.. we all know what that means. I will have to go get more painkillers for friday.
VIVE LA FRANCE!
Before this one needs to end soon, because life goes on and vive la vie and live da life and so on, let me tell you how our next weeks most likely look like. We stay in Lyon for a few more days, then we move on towards to Pariiiii – the amour citey. A couple of days there and then either back to Lyon from where we move on or we move on directly from Paris. Not sure yet,.. we still just go with the flow and try to see a few cool european spots during summer. Therefor I shall keep you posted,.. which I probably don’t really do,.. seeing my recent blogwriting.
Anyways,.. it was about time to let you guys know what we are up to. Love from Lyon out into the world to whoever this may read.
It’s Monique and Tj, peace out.
