and welcome to another ‘litte’ chapter of my life.
Today I start off in the same way every good TV Series starts. Just like breaking bad or game of thrones I launch this one with a little look back – summing up aaaall the action happened in the last episode,.. before I’ll hop into the recent one, called Funkytown.
What happened on tj’s blog last time: Two young, attractive people (aka. cool kids) left QT (aka. Queenstown) and hit the roads of NEW ZEA AND LAND. With the open road ahead,… and so on.. and bla.. sun, monkeys, beautiful, .. some exciting bits and pieces, love and peace, blackout.
Well, you know how we run the show!
Now … (short break for the tension ..) with a few more adventures in the books I am back, reporting, blogging aaaand sharing with my loved ones.
The last shout was from CHCH Christchurch on the South Island. Two weeks later,.. I find myself in Auckland city, in the bloody north. Ha!
What happened eversince we left the sheltered house of Moniques Grandma,.. Answers as always: in the next episode!
Naaaa Naaaa,.. juuuuust kidding!
The show must go on:
After Christchurch Monique and me left towards Hanmar Springs, where BIG SURPRISE they have springs. Warm -and hotwater springs, slides, pools, everything. Sweet as! We spent a couple of wet hours there and checked in into a hostel on the east coast. Somewhere, where the name wasn’t worth remembering. The next day we moved on towards Nelson at the top of the south island where we stayed with one of our Hotel acquaintance (I so googled this word) Nicole for two days. As always we enjoyed ourselves heaps while exploring caves, beautiful landescapes and sceneries.
We left Nelson with heaps of sun in our bags and traveled towards Picton from where we took the Ferry over to Wellington. Waeelleeey how the cool kids – or only wall-e fans – call it is not just the capital of NZ it is also located on the north island.
Yes you got it right. The Ferry brought us from South to North island. Great. Here’s a cookie.
In Wellington we didn’t really explore that much,.. we actually concentrated on something else, called RUGBY!
YES people, it was rugby-world-cup-final in London. ALL BLACKS from New Zealand against the Wallabees from Australia. Easy peasy sunny breasy,… haha.. NO WAY! A hard fight,.. and not just because of the 5am kick off time for us over here in NZ.
Long stort short,.. we went to a pub, crashed a private party, had the best seats in the room and won the title! Any questions?!
PS. Even though I am not quite yet a new zealand citizen I definitely consider myself as an ALL BLACK. Kind of,.. like.. ANYWAYS.. we won! NICE ONE! :D
On our way away from Wellington over Palmi North towards Taupo plus lake.
Isn’t it just?
We spent one lovely night in Taupo and afterwards moved our bums towards the Coromandel Area, where we stayed for four nights in total. A few shots from our way up north with more hot springs, walks and cristal clear waterloooo.
“Four nights in Opoutere” sounds like a movie and surely almost was one,.. haha
It wasn’t our original plan to stay there so long but since we found ourselves a little beautiful spot in the middle of nowhere we decided to stay and stay aaaand stay. A little cabin in the woods just for ourselves and a whole hostel on our own,.. that’s peaceful friends, I tell ya.
From – Plenty of sun, kayaks and polaroids..
That was close to paradise,.. maaan!
We left a liiiiiitlle bittle sad… But not really because our next stop was even cooler. We went towards Auckland – NZ biggest city – where we stayed and still stay with Moniques sister Annaliza, Dave, Rueben and their little three year old cutest troublemaker Willow. :)))
It is,.. nothing but Funkytown! HA! Love it.
Polaroids from Waiheke Island, near Auckland.
Tomorrow we will be moving on, though.
Kerikeri will be our next and last stop for now until we move on and leave to conquer the world in January :)
More? Still to come..
This is me,.. calling the eve.
From Funkytown out into the World over and out.
